Scuba Diving At Tulamben Japanese Shipwreck

Welcome to my blog, I have informed to you about restaurants and many others tourist destination such as park and snorkeling place. Now in this great opportunity I would like to inform to you about great place that divers lovers have to visit and diving there, Tulamben.

Tulamben is popular with its great underwater life. It is among the most popular dive sites on Bali since the wreck of the Liberty which was torpedoed by the Japanese off the nearby Island of Lombok and the ship was towed to the beach at Tulamben for salvage operations. The 1963 eruption of Mt. agung, devastated much of the eastern side of Bali, drove the ship into the water just off shore, where it became encrusted with coral and a home to other sea life. The wreck is about 130 m long with the shallowest part at about 5 m deep and the deepest on the other side of the wreck at about 30 m deep.

The most famous of Bali scuba diving spots and the most popular of the Tulamben dive sites, the wreck is now completely covered in healthy coral growth, and the numerous structural holes provide endless opportunities for exploration. Soft corals dominate here, with crinoids, featherstars and hydroids.

Large fish species that frequent the wreck include sunfish, great barracuda, Napoleon fish and scribbled filefish. Reef fish here common to Bali diving are peacock grouper and coral trout, regal angelfish and surgeonfish. Heading back towards shore on your dive you'll see a colony of spotted garden eels, heads swaying as if in a breeze, and goatfish nuzzling through the sandy rubble. There are a lot of various colorful fish and beautiful coral that have a unique shape.
During high-season, up to 100 divers descend to the wreck each day. The fish seems does not afraid with the divers because since small fish until become a big fish a crowd of divers are have been around them, maybe they thought that the divers are kind of fish.
You can start the diving without using boat to go to diving point. You can start your diving from the seashore, because the shipwreck diving point is close enough from the shore.
After diving you may have some rest in the closest cafe in the Tulamben Beach. For diving you have to ask diving company to provide the scuba diving gears and equipment and also accompany you to the Tulamben, thus you can have scuba diving easier and see the beauty of marine life around the Japanese shipwreck in Tulamben.
